After a long typical cold Maine winter followed by an April that we didn’t think the snow was ever going to stop we finally got a few days of sunshine in between the rain for the month of May. Now that we have entered into June, the sun has been shining more and warmer temperatures are upon us. The grass is growing so the cows with calves on their sides have been turned out to pasture and haying for fall/winter feed has begun. It’s a wonderful heart warming time of year, one of my grandfather’s favorites. I can’t help but smile thinking of the joy all the new growth brought to him. Those memories are cherished and I’m lucky enough to be making new memories along side my own dad now. Farming as my grandfather and I did together.
Hi, this is Kara, the third generation of this family farm. I don’t post much as I am generally boots on the ground but thought I’d stop in for an update. Some of you may know me from purchasing hay, beef, pork or eggs that we sell here on the farm. A lot of work goes into everything we produce and sell, a true labor of love. Thank you to all our customers for supporting our farm so we can continue to do what we love!
I hope you enjoy the pictures of some of the scenery we get to view daily. God Bless
